Today’s episode was the product of a podcast challenge I’m taking and completely off the cuff. I had a bit of a panic as I didn’t even have notes written out lol
Physically distancing is magnifying my emotions and making things bubble back up that I have dealt with.
There are times I still feel like I’m on a freaking roller coaster of emotions and I’m so tired of that!
My goal for today’s podcast is to share a piece of what I’m going through. The anger is out of control some days and I despise it. It’s something I’ve worked so much on and yet here it is back in my face. But, I’m recognizing it and have things in place to work through it. I know it is going to keep showing up for a bit.

I mentioned tracking my time showed me how I was spending an astronomical amount of time on email and Facebook during my bad days. When you are hitting the button on a time tracking app and labeling the time, you are forced to take ownership of how you are spending said time. Take Love People & Make Money’s I Dare You To Track.
This episode dealt with why I was angry and how I took control of some things so I can work on changes. I enlisted my friends and they helped me compile a giant list of ways they are bringing more positivity in their life right now. Not only that, but more friends have added their’s in the comments. It’s a bloggy luv fest. You are sure to find some awesome things to add into your quarantined life right this minute.

Welcome to getting angry about all the hours spent on Facebook. The tracking challenge really was a slap in the face about how much time I wasted on Facebook! For my sanity, I had to remove the app from my phone weeks ago and I now only spend 15-30 mins a day on FB (I set a timer & when it goes off that’s it, I close it). It’s made a HUGE difference in how I am mentally feeling during all this craziness.
I agree that’s it is important to share our feelings. I’m kind of over that right now and not really talking about how I’m feeling. Maybe it’s because for the most part I’m doing pretty good, but I think it’s also because I got tired of telling everyone (myself included) over and over how scared, anxious, agitated, etc. I was. The more I kept saying those words out loud, via text, emails, etc. the more I just kept buying into all those negative feelings. Once I stopped saying those things over and over (along with doing some other things like ditching FB) it was easier to let that stuff go. So for me it’s a fine line between needing to share my feelings but also not staying stuck in those feelings (which isn’t always easy)… if that makes sense what I’m trying to say.

I believe you did share your feelings so that is probably helping as well. I know many haven’t talked about it at all or just superficially as if they don’t have the right to their feelings.
My hope is this podcast and what I’m putting in place keeps me from the angry space. Of course this sunshine sure helps! lol
